Yamaha rider pulls a Stoppie in the middle of a busy Boulevard and gets hit from behind by another rider [who's obviously obeying the speedlimit] – Resulting in a nasty broken leg for the Yamaha rider and minor injuries for the rider who hit him. You can clearly see his lower leg bend at a terrible angle at point 6.5 seconds. When I ride I always wear my New Zealand Qmoto leather jacket and I strongly recommend you wear one too! qmoto.co.nz EDIT: Quote LeeLo44 “Here’s the true story. The endo guy was not suppose to stop at that moment. The 2nd rider was to be skitching past the camera for the documentary called 12 O’clock. The re-re did the endo without looking back and the 2nd rider was unable to steer away (but did try). Endo guy broke his ankle, the skitcher had some nasty road rash which was cleaned out with wire brushes at the ER. In the end of the video the skitcher is holding the endo guys leg together. Take it from me I was there.” – LeeLo44 ——– Please keep in mind when watching this video that true motorcycle enthusiasts generally look down apon these types of riders as being squids – “Stupidly Quick, Underdressed, Ignorant and Dangerous”. The actions of these riders by no means represent the overwhelming majority of riders who are observant to both the laws of the road and the laws of common sense. Keep it on private roads or the race track, and wear proper protective gear. A full face helmet, leather jacket, gloves and full length boots will save your …

One of the 20 states that still require motorcycle helmets to be worn in California when operating or riding a motorcycle, and these laws were put into action because helmets can save lives.
Any experienced Los Angeles motorcycle attorney knows that the leading injuries that occur in motorcycle accidents are head injuries, which also include traumatic brain injuries. The motorcycle rider has little protection, unlike a vehicle there is no steel enclosure protecting them. This means that the only thing protecting the rider from the road is the helmet during a motorcycle accident.
California Motorcycle Helmet Laws
The California Motorcycle laws mandate:
Anyone operating or passenger on a motorcycle must wear a safety helmet meeting the requirements pursuant to California Vehicle Code, Division 12, Chapter 5, Article 7 Section 27802.
This includes passengers in side cars
The operator of a motorcycle will not permit a passenger to ride the motorcycle without protective headgear.
The Benefits of the California Helmet law
Federal government statistics showed in 2006 there were 35 times more deaths on motorcycles than cars per mile traveled. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration there were more motorcycle deaths in 2007 than any other year recorded.
California enforces motorcycle helmet laws for a number of reasons and why riders are vulnerable to accidents and injury:
Motorcycles have no enclosure like vehicles for protection
Motorcycles are not as visible as other vehicles on the road
Motorcycles are not stable when applying the brakes in high-speed situations
Motorcycles can accelerate to high speeds quickly
Studies have shown that helmets reduce motorcycle crash fatalities by 37 percent and are proven effective in preventing head and brain injuries. Studies have also shown when motorcycle helmet laws are in effect riders wear helmets almost 100 percent of the time. Data from the NHTSA shows that where there are no helmet laws helmet use drops to approximately 50 percent.
California Motorcycle Accident Lawsuits
When involved in a California motorcycle accident without a helmet does not mean it was not the other vehicle at fault. This means the motorcycle accident victim can still be entitled to financial compensation for their injuries.

250 Two-stroke or 250 Four-Stroke?
If you’re looking to get into racing motocross at AMA sanctioned tracks and are wondering which bike to buy for the 250cc class, then pay attention. Although the four-strokes have pretty much taken over the motocross market lately, it seems that there are a lot of people trying to bring back the two-strokes, and it seems to be working. AMA made it legal so a 250cc two-stroke can run in the same class as a 250cc four-stroke. Now, the first reaction I had when I heard of this was without doubt…

How To Adjust Dirt Bike Suspension
Here’s a quick tip on how to adjust the suspension on your dirt bike if it has adjustable forks or shocks. The purpose of adjusting it is to make the suspension perform at its best on certain types of terrain or size/shape of obstacles. The faster you go, the stiffer you’ll want your suspension to be. If you are a trail riding, then you will want it to be softer than it would normally be for riding on a motocross track.
